"A Reaper of Stone" follows the story of Elinor, a girl who dreamed of glory and the way of hero as the old days tale told. A turn of fate made Elinor a Reaper, someone whose duty is to destroy the old reign for the new one to advance.
I like the fact that this is a novela, a short read. It's not so heavy on the world building, but it was still enough to give us a glimpse of the world that Elinor lives in.
I also like how action-packed this book is, but it still has enough moments to show that our heroine is not all muscle and brawl, but someone with brain and heart as well.
The downside of this book is in its length as well. I know it sounds contradictory, but the fact that the story is only around 64-pages long means that it jumped right on the action and didn't have enough time for back story. At some points, I even thought that maybe there was another prequel book for this, but apparently not.
Another downside was a scene where Elinor stitched her own cuts. I was like... you didn't even clean the wound first? It was a questionable scene for me.
Overall, "A Reaper of Stone" was a light and fun read. It seems that the authors are enlarging their stories and world via novelas like this and even planned to release one novela per month.

Aku penasaran sama ceritanya karena biasanya kan Fantasy tuh pasti tebel2 deh bukunya, sedangkan yg satu ini sangat sedikit halamannya. Pengen liat gmn penulisnya meramu sebuah kisah fantasy keren ini hanya dalam beberapa halaman saja.
